Mariah King

Mariah is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California with a combined 10 years experience in child welfare services and behavioral health. She currently works as a Behavioral Health Clinician with the Sonoma County Department of Health Services, providing trauma-informed mental health support and conducting assessments for children coming into the care of CPS.  Her previous clinical experience includes field crisis work with Sonoma County’s Mobile Support Team and inRESPONSE program, where she conducted 5150 evaluations, safety and risk assessments, and provided crisis intervention for individuals experiencing acute behavioral health crises. Her work included multidisciplinary team collaboration to support youth, adults, and families with complex mental health needs.

Mariah previously worked in Child Protective Services with Sonoma County Family, Youth & Children Services and Stanislaus County Community Services Agency, where she completed child abuse investigations, case management, crisis intervention, and advocacy for children and families involved in the child welfare system. She earned her Master of Social Work from California State University, Stanislaus in 2021 and her B.A. in Women and Gender Studies from Sonoma State University in 2014. Her professional practice is grounded in trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, interdisciplinary collaboration, and advocacy for children, youth, and families from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds.
