Emma Kinney is licensed in Utah as a Clinical Social Worker
The journey of growth is not an easy one but always inspiring and while the growth isn’t always visible it is constantly there. As a therapist, it is a joy to watch the people I work with learn to water the soil of their lives and understand what helps them to grow. We each have our own experiences and stories and I hope to help the people I work with to find joy, learn to process grief, and move through life to bring them peace.

I work with people of all ages, specializing in teens, and young adults. I bring a unique background as a prior elementary school teacher as well as a horseback riding instructor where I watched children learn how to implement the skills taught to them and apply it to other areas of their lives. In therapy, I strive to provide a space where each client feels seen and heard working with experiential therapies, CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing.

In addition to individual therapy, I enjoy working with couples and families to help each person understand their partners better and improve the overall well-being of their unit. Utilizing Gottman and Emotionally Focused Therapy, I strive to seek deeper than the circular argument many people feel they can’t see past and get to the deeper meaning.
